OK, so how do you sign up online?

Oh I see the links to sign up. But what I really need is a text message address. I want an airline notice that isn't in your list. They want a address like phone number@abc.com. Is there such a thing for tracfone numbers?

Text alerts are offered by third-party providers.

You can click on the sample links in this post or sign up with any website or company that offers them.

It depends on your phone.

Do you receive e-mail on it?

With my Tracfone Motorola W376g, I can get airline notifications, etc. by using (my number)@att.net

Thanks, That worked for me too. Chas

Really? I'd asked TracFone about exactly that - what was my @ address so that I could sign up for airline alerts. I got a message back that those sorts of services were not aviliable with TracFone. I too have the W376g. Hmmm... Anyway thanks for the tip on @att.net. I'll see if it works for me.

Actually
[Phone Number]@txt.att.net
that works for me with Trackphone.

What carrier do I select for Tracfone? Tracfone is not listed among available carriers for my local school district alerts but Cricket, Boost etc. are all listed.

Bruce: Assuming you're referring to Facebook. If you phone model ends in G, choose AT&T; in C, Verizon.
